So here we are, the last weekend before Christmas and the shop floors are literally groaning with the weight of stock we've got in!
Highlights are in the Christmas deals - scroll down for these - but if you want something truly outstanding for Christmas, get a bottle or two from this stunning selection of wines from a private cellar:

Red & White Burgundies, a smattering of Rhones and some sensational mature Alsace.  You can tell much about someone from their cellar and I wish that I had had the opportunity to have met the previous owner, as he clearly knew and loved great wines!
A few Stock Issues......

Faugeres...?
Unfortunately a bit of a mathematical problem occurred here!  Paul mis-read bottles for cases and as such, what I thought was just over a pallet of wonderful Faugeres has transpired to be about 15 cases in total.  Everyone who has ordered, don't worry, we can fulfill all these but we have very little stocks for the shops otherwise.......Paul has promised me the keenest of deals for the new year, when we'll ship direct!

Rolly Gassman
No Christmas can be complete (in my mind!) without a few bottles of Rolly Gassman's wonderful Alsace.  Due to a logistical issue (gently bangs head on desk!), we're only getting it in on Monday and then only the Riesling and Gewurztraminer but we're going to have these open to try next week.  So for all of you who have never tried  their wines, get ready to have your palates blown away - on tasting next week.

Pilgrim Brewery Beers!

Well before the the bearded of Hoxton appeared on the scene, Dave of Pilgrim Brewery began brewing delicious beers on a micro-brewery basis in Reigate.  

"Gulpability" is the by-word for Dave, these are delicious, refreshing, balanced beers and whilst they're not laden with funky of hops, they beautifully balanced.  To make a wine comparison, the very hoppy styles are very "new world" with their uncompromising flavours and don't get me wrong, I really do enjoy them but here is a great example of old world, with long, subtle flavours, that you want to drink more than one glass of!

They're not in bottles or trendy cans but only available in theses kegs or in your local pub.  Proper beer without a man-bun in sight!
