2014 Vina Cobos Felino, Malbec, Mendoza – Argentina
£16.99
Viña Cobos is the true identity of each variety and the unique terroir of Mendoza, truly world class wines from a world class producer, Paul Hobbs, best known for his namesake wines from California.
Aromas of cassis, dark chocolate, ripe blackberry and liquorice drift from the glass followed by some vanilla, cedar and earthy. On the palate dark, dense and rich with intense blueberries, black cherry and sweet spices. Very bright on the palate with fleshy polished tannins. Great match for any barbecue.
2015 Whispering Angel, Provence- France
£19.99
Château d’Esclans lies in the center of the Department of the Var, where the majority of Provence AOC rosé is produced. The land was occupied as long as 2500 years ago when it was probably used as a lookout point for intruders sailing into the Gulf of Frejus. The original château—of which now only the cellar remains—dates back to before the 12th century
A beautiful classic rose, delicately scented with raspberries and citrus undertones. Soft and round on the palate, it displays a lovely creaminess with hints of spice. Simply delicious for a picnic.
