La Colombette was born in 1890 when Louis Pugibet a blacksmith, fell in love with a winemaker and she gave him his first hectare as a gift for the marriage. Four generations later Francois and son Vincent work side by side creating exciting wines. They are at the forefront of exploring and developing new techniques with resistant grape varieties as well as continuing to produce outstanding wines from known varieties.
A charming wine full of soft cherry notes, hints of spice and gentle tannins. A classic Pinot Noir produced from Burgundian clones which Francois planted in the 1970's.
I've had this wine before and so jumped at the deal. Great purchase.
Great value for money at just over a tenner. Easy to drink Pinot noir, smooth with soft notes of red fruits. Has great depth for a light red. Perfect for summer at room temperature or chilled!
