Cooler than Burgundy - The Iona Wine Dinner 24th September 2026

Come and join us for a fabulous Wine Maker's Dinner as we showcase the wonderful wines from South Africa's Iona.  Located in Elgin, SA's coolest vineyard region and owned by Andrew and Rozy Gunn, this winery is making sensational wines from Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah blends.  With temperatures that are cooler than Burgundy, this is a region for the serious lover of Burgundy to take note of.

We will be joined by Stef Masin from Alliance wines, Iona's Uk importer who will help host the event and introduce you to Iona's exciting range.

Accompanying the wines will be a stunning menu from Richard Skinner of The Social Table.  I am just finalising the running order of wines with Richard's menu but it's worthwhile booking your tickets now!

The Social Table - Chef Richard Skinner. After catering college, Richard moved to France and cooked under luminaries such as Éric Fréchon at the 3* Michelin Le Hotel Bristol. He then moved to Normandy to work with Jean-Christophe Novelli, where he perfected his classical cooking. Since then Richard has worked for chefs such as Pierre Koffman and Adam Byatt at the 1* Michelin Trinity, before pursuing a career in contract catering. His wealth of experience also includes time as Group Executive Chef for a boutique contract caterer looking after clients such as Mercedes F1.

 **This event starts at 19.30 and the first course will be served at 20.15.**

Tickets to an event at The Vineking require prepayment to secure your booking.

All dietary requirements where possible will be catered for.

If you have to cancel your table with 14+ days notice we will refund your payment in full.

If cancellation is between 7-14  days before the event, you will be entitled to a 50% refund or we will offer to reschedule you to another date if possible.

In the event that we can resell the places booked, there will be a 100% refund. However, we offer no refund payment if there is less than 7 days notice of cancellation unless we can resell the places booked.
