2021 Domaine Gayda Figure Libre Freestyle Rouge

Domaine Gayda was built in 1749 as a Staging Post for travellers where horses were refreshed and changed. In 2004, current owners Tim Ford and Anthony Record joined forces with winemaker Vincent Chansault, creating the modern face of wine from the region. In the largest wine region of the world, Domaine Gayda strives to create wine with provenance and a sense of “being” that is a true reflection of the quality and diversity of the Languedoc Roussillon.

The Figure Libre Freestyle Rouge is a blend of 45% Syrah, 30% Grenache Noir, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Carignan. Aged in older barrels for 9 months. The wine is vibrant and expressive on the nose with aromas of red and black fruits, pepper, spice and “garrigue”. A full bodied wine, with an expansive mouthfeel, integrated tannins and a long, silky finish.
