Domaine des Mailloches has been family owned and operated for 8 generations and is devoted to the sustainable farming of a single grape variety - Cabernet Franc. The vines grow on three distinct soils, sandy clay, gravel and clay limestone which allows Samuel Demont to draw out different characteristics in his wines to give greater complexity.

This Vieilles Vignes selection come from vineyards that are bewtween 80-100 years old.  Picked by hand and vinified in a traditional style, this is a terrific example from an overlooked region of the Loire.

This is Cabernet Franc showing brilliantly.  Deep black-cherry and plum dominate this wine’s nose. Harmonious flavours of dark red fruit and liquorice develop on the palate, supported by well-structured tannins and refreshing balance. This is a very food friendly wine, working well with dished like grilled rack of lamb, to rich, meltingly ripe cheeses.
