The wines from Domaine de Morties are wonderfully orchestrated, with every element carefully thought through to produce wines with unmistakable quality and class. The Pic Saint Loup Rouge is harvested manually, minimally pumped over its skins and aged partly in French oak and partly in concrete. The wine is spicy, peppery, youthful fruit with plenty of garrigue notes. A great pairing with peppery steak or other red meats.
The Domaine de Morties vineyard is on the southern slopes of Pic Saint Loup, about 20 kilometres north of Montpellier. It stretches over an area of 14 hectares, centred around an 18th-century Mas and its cellar.
