Based in Bouzy, a 100% certified Grand Cru village, Champagne Delavenne is an independent, 4th generation, family owned champagne house making organic, low sulphur, vegan friendly and award winning champagnes. Quite a rarity in Champagne, the Delavenne family are what is known as recoltants-manipulants, meaning they own and work their land, and only make champagne from the grapes they grow, so vigneron Jean-Christophe has complete control from start to finish.
Last year our Tasting Room Manager Ellie went off to see for herself and came back singing their praises to the heavens and back. We are delighted her enthusiasm has born fruit and we are now stocking their entire range!
A festive champagne "par excellence." It is the embodiment of the Delavenne house tradition, created from vineyards in Bouzy and Ambonnay. Notes of apple fritter, fresh apple and lemon drop. Enjoy it with sautéed scallops, rich fish, pork, mild and soft cheese.
