"In comparison with the 2018 and 2019, the 2020 Marjosse has a darker, more complex bouquet with aromas of dark wild berries, licorice, coniferous forest, lilac and cassis intertwined with green pepper and tobacco notes. Medium-bodied, balanced and fleshy, it’s juicy and refreshing despite its darker character on the finish.
Château Marjosse is the personal estate of Pierre Lurton, the Chairman of both Château Cheval Blanc and Château d'Yquem, and is located in the commune of Tizac-de-Curton. The vineyard stretches across picturesque clay soil with limestone subsoils in select areas. Pierre Lurton has, for several years, been dedicated to crafting unique cuvées that aim to reinvigorate the appeal of Bordeaux wines among connoisseurs. Unquestionably, this estate is acclaimed as one of the most outstanding for value in the Bordeaux region."
