Tenimenti Civa, nestled among the rolling hills of Friuli’s Colli Orientali, has established itself as a benchmark for Ribolla Gialla — in large part due to the obsessive dedication of founder and owner Valerio Civa. Driven by a singular belief in the potential of this indigenous variety, Valerio has developed proprietary Ribolla clones and refined vineyard practices that maximise aromatic purity, natural acidity and site expression, earning the estate a reputation as one of the region’s most successful interpreters of Ribolla Gialla. The vineyards are rooted in a mosaic of calcareous clay and limestone soils, gently sloped and cooled by Adriatic breezes and significant diurnal shifts, which together preserve freshness and nuance while allowing phenolic ripeness to develop at balance.
