Château du Plantier is owned and managed by the Lavergne family, who have been involved in Bordeaux viticulture for several generations. Today, the family cultivates around 84 hectares of vineyards across the communes of Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, Saint-Sulpice, Saint-Léger and Saint-Martin-du-Puy, in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers region. Under the guidance of Bernard Lavergne and his son Fabien, the estate has earned a reputation for producing fresh, approachable Bordeaux wines that reflect both the quality of the terroir and the family's commitment to traditional winemaking.

The Entre-Deux-Mers appellation lies between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers, where layers of limestone, clay, gravel and sand create ideal conditions for white grape varieties. Château du Plantier's white wine is produced from a classic Bordeaux blend of Sauvignon Blanc (60%), Sémillon (30%) and Muscadelle (10%), fermented at controlled temperatures and matured on fine lees to enhance freshness and aromatic complexity. The 2025 vintage captures the vibrant, refreshing character for which Entre-Deux-Mers is renowned - a perfect example of modern Bordeaux Blanc.

Tasting Note: Pale straw yellow with glints of green, this fresh and aromatic white Bordeaux opens with enticing aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, green apple and white peach, accompanied by subtle floral nuances. The palate is lively and refreshing, offering bright citrus and orchard fruit flavours supported by crisp acidity and a gentle mineral edge. Well-balanced and expressive, it finishes clean, vibrant and persistent, inviting another glass.

Food Pairing: Excellent with oysters, shellfish, grilled prawns, sea bass, fish and chips, summer salads, goat's cheese and light poultry dishes. Serve well chilled at 10-12°C.
