2024 Chateau Vieux Moulin I Love You VDF Corbieres - Biodynamic

Château Vieux Moulin is a 200-year-old estate located in the Languedoc appellation of Corbières. After finishing military service nearly 20 years ago, Alex They returned to his family estate to help. Soon afterwards he was given the opportunity to take over the estate despite very limited winemaking experience, but the choice was either to take on the responsibility or sell. Alex jumped in and learned on the job, as the 7th generation of his family to run the Domaine. He’s now regarded as one of the Languedoc’s most exciting and progressive winemakers.

Vieux Moulin now has all its 28 hectares fully certified organic. Alex is unafraid to challenge the status quo and explore new angles of winemaking but never at the expense of what’s in the glass, and the wines always represent their origins in the vineyard.

This “I Love You” is an organic 100% Cinsault made without any additional sulphites. Vinified with wild yeasts in stainless steel tank, five days of maceration, not one more: just enough to take on the colour and fruit of the Cinsault, and nothing that weighs it down. The aged for 1 year on fine lees.

Tasting note: A silky light-medium bodied red with perfumed pomegranate and red cherry notes alongside hints of dried wild herbs. Gentle tannins and fresh acidity round out the package. A true Vin de Soif.
