The 2024 vintage is a red blend from the Swartland region of South Africa, primarily composed of Syrah, with supporting grapes like Grenache, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Viognier crafted in South Africa’s Swartland region, using fruit from Porseleinberg and Goldmine vineyards. Fermented with whole berries and aged for up to 18 months in mostly used French oak, it’s known for its plush texture and layered complexity.
Produced one of South Africa’s most respected wineries, Boekenhoutskloof's The Chocolate Block is a cult favourite with limited production. Its name reflects the wine’s rich, velvety character and subtle cocoa notes, not added flavouring.
