From the talented, hardworking, perfectionist Thomas Morey, younger son of Bernard, has set up his cellar in the old family house in Chassagne-Montrachet, where he represents the 10th generation of the Morey family in Chassagne-Montrachet. He works around 13ha diligently and skilfully, having already established himself as one of the stars of the appellation. His style is different from that of his father – tauter, more linear and with more initial restraint in the modern idiom of fine white Burgundy.
Cultivated by the tenth-generation Morey family, this wine blends fruit from two Morgeot parcels—Brussonnes (planted 1986) and Fairendes (vines from 1964–74). With vineyards farmed organically since 2014 (certified in 2017), the estate prioritises spontaneous fermentations and minimal intervention. Grapes are hand-harvested, gently pressed, and undergo wild yeast fermentation. The wine is aged on fine lees for 16–18 months, with approximately 20–30% new oak, and little to no stirring. Sulfur is used sparingly (max. ~35 mg/L) during barrel elevage to preserve freshness.
Tasting Note: This Premier Cru has a luminous golden hue Layered aromas of white peach, pear, gentle citrus, and delicate floral notes. The palate is rich and generous—full-bodied yet fresh. It finishes long, with saline accents and refined oak nuances.Food match: Roasted chicken, pan-seared scallops and creamy seafood dishes.
