Now in their 4th generation, Olivier Cocquard spent time in South Africa before coming home to work on the family estate. Organic and sustainable, this Domaine has very strong green credentials and is part of the “Slow Wine Coalition.” This Beaujolais Blanc is 100% Chardonnay aged in oak, both new and old barrel with no malolactic fermentation. Olivier makes a vibrant and aromatic wines.
Tasting note: Fresh citrus notes with hints of green apple, pear, and white flowers on the nose. with an explosion of the same in the mouth. On the palate, it is crisp and lively. The acidity is pleasantly countered by an unexpected smoothness on the finish.
Food match: Great with roasted Turbot or grilled lobster.
