2022 Terra d'Alter Alvarinho

The Terra d’Alter vineyards are based in Alto Alentejo, a high-quality wine-producing region just two hours drive inland from Lisbon where vineyards date back to Roman times. The vineyards cover extensive plains and gentle hills, always providing intense exposure to sunlight which assists the grapes’ development, maturation and quality. Many indigenous varieties are grown plus international varieties such as Viognier.

Terra d’Alter Alvarinho vines are planted on granite-based soil, which brings out the best of this variety. It is refreshing, with intense fruit and minerality on the palate and a slightly salty finish. A perfect pairing with seafood!
