2022 Longdown Vineyard Brut

Tasting Note
Pale golden in colour this is a wine that delights from the first pop of the cork. Aromas of green apple and pastry dominate on the nose with a delightful hint of cherry and spice. Bright and fresh on the palate, you’ll find more apple fruit, a citrus zing and a toasty note that adds a touch of decadence to the lengthy finish. Elegant, yet complex.

Blend: Chardonnay 57% Pinot Noir 26% Pinot Meunier 17%

Winemaking
Produced in the traditional method with 15% reserve wines to add depth, complexity and consistency across vintages. Winemaking includes 100% malolactic fermentation, delivering a rounded, creamy texture and softened acidity. A proportion of 15% oak is used during ageing. The wine is disgorged and finished with a dosage of 5 g/L, resulting in an elegant, refined style.
