Deep garnet-purple in colour, this classic Southern Rhône blend offers an expressive bouquet of ripe blackberry, black cherry and plum, layered with notes of wild thyme, rosemary and lavender. As the wine opens, hints of liquorice, black pepper, cocoa and smoky earth emerge, adding complexity and regional character.

The palate is rich and full-bodied, driven by concentrated dark fruit flavours balanced by fresh acidity and finely textured tannins. Generous layers of blackberry compote, kirsch and sweet spice are complemented by savoury nuances of garrigue herbs and cracked pepper. The texture is velvety yet structured, leading to a long, powerful finish marked by persistent dark fruit, spice and mineral freshness.

The warm and successful 2022 vintage has produced a Châteauneuf-du-Pape with both immediate generosity and the balance required for graceful ageing.

About the Producer

Pierre-Henri Morel is a Rhône Valley project established through a collaboration between renowned Rhône winemaker Michel Chapoutier and importer Pierre-Henri Morel. Based in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the winery focuses on expressing the character of Southern Rhône appellations through careful vineyard selection, traditional winemaking and minimal intervention. Their Gigondas is typically Grenache-led, delivering the appellation's hallmark combination of ripe fruit, spice, power and Mediterranean charm.
