2022 Chateau Sigognac Medoc

Located in Saint-Yzans-de-Médoc, in the heart of Bordeaux's renowned Médoc peninsula, Château Sigognac is a historic estate with a winemaking heritage dating back more than five centuries. The 45-hectare vineyard has been owned by the Allard family since 2009 and is managed with a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture, including organic conversion of the vineyards. The estate's clay-limestone soils, mature vines and prime Médoc location provide ideal conditions for producing wines that combine the power of the Left Bank with elegance and finesse. The vineyard is planted predominantly with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller amounts of Petit Verdot adding depth and complexity. Careful vineyard management and traditional oak ageing allow Château Sigognac to express the distinctive character of its terroir while maintaining balance and refinement.
