2023 Andrew Perret Condrieu
Country: France
Region:
Alcohol: 13.0%
----------------------------------------
A beautifully poised expression of 100% Viognier from one of Condrieu's benchmark producers. Brilliant pale gold in colour, the nose is intensely aromatic, offering layers of ripe pear, white peach and apricot, alongside delicate floral notes of violet and honeysuckle. Subtle hints of exotic mango and citrus add further complexity.
The palate is rich and textured yet remarkably fresh and balanced. Succulent stone fruit flavours are complemented by chalky minerality and vibrant acidity, giving the wine precision and energy. Notes of peach, apricot and citrus are framed by a subtle floral lift, with a distinctive granite-derived minerality providing structure and elegance. The finish is long, refined and persistent, combining richness with impressive freshness.
