"Aromas of currants, berries and hints of new leather follow through to a medium to full body with round, integrated tannins and a juicy finish. Firm and polished. Drinkable now, but a year or two will soften it even more. Best from 2023."
93 Points - James Suckling
"A blend of 40% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc, the Orma 2019 Bolgheri Rosso Passi di Orma opens to dark fruit and hints of mild, but perhaps premature, evolution. There are dried fruits, leather, tar and cured tobacco. This is a medium-bodied and open-knit wine that is best consumed in the near or medium term with a simple plate of grilled meats. There is a fresh note of acidity on the close."
91 Points - Robert Parker
Purchased in 2004 by Tenuta Sette Ponti owner, Dr. Antonio Moretti, Orma is a 5.5 hectare estate that is nestled between two illustrious neighbours Sassicaia and Ornellaia, in Bolgheri, coastal Tuscany’s outstanding wine region. Bolgheri has long boasted an impressive reputation in the world, earning its prestige as one of the most impressive and creative production areas in the world wine, noted for its experimentation with innovative blends of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Aromas of red fruits with nuances of cherry, morello cherry, undergrowth, surrounded by withered flowers and a light balsamic note. In the mouth it is pleasant, soft, fresh, with a good acidity and elegant tannins.
