2019 Guelbenzu Azul

One of the flagship wines from Guelbenzu's Finca La Lomabana vineyard. The grapes are sourced from estate-owned vineyards - predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, blended with Graciano and a little Syrah. The wine is aged for 10 months in French and American oak. It then spends a further 12 months in bottle before release.

Aromas of ripe dark fruits balanced with savoury capsicum and spicy characters. The palate has sweet, ripe blackberry and plum notes, toasty oak and a touch of pepper and spice. Rich and powerful with velvety tannins and good length. Drink with roast pork or chicken dishes, or bean casserole.
