2023 Domaine A J Ferret Pouilly Fuisse

The 2023 Pouilly-Fuissé, sourced from 50 plots around Fuissé, with roughly half planted on limestone soils, was matured for 18 months, including ten months in barrel followed by eight months in stainless steel. The nose is clean and focused, offering precision and admirable tension rather than overt complexity. On the palate, it is beautifully balanced, opening with a subtle tangy freshness before unfolding layers of orange zest, delicate spice, and impressive concentration. A pronounced mineral sapidity carries through the long, satisfying finish, making this an immensely enjoyable and characterful Pouilly-Fuissé.

This one of the first vintages under Clément Robinet, former vineyard manager for Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon and who also worked several vintages in New Zealand and Oregon.  Safe to say, the future is in good hands!
