Kate McIntyre’s notes, This single vineyard wine from our home vineyard in Derril Road is further evidence of what our fine vineyard site and mature vines can produce in a really good year. It includes some wine from interesting clones grafted onto our old Cabernet vines (planted in 1983).

96 points, James Halliday, “MV6, 667, 777, 114, 115 and Abel Pommard clones. Clonal and terroir differences mark each Moorooduc Pinot, the vinification regime the same (hand-picked, chilled 24 hours, destemmed, 19-21 days on skins, plunged daily, matured in French oak (20% new) for 14 months. Rose petal/spice aromas; particularly good fruit line, long, clear and precise.”
