Château Treytins is perhaps better known for its Lalande de Pomerol wine but since 1998 it has also produced a Montagne St-Emilion the largest of Saint-Emilion's satellite appellations. Planted on gravelly soil located in part on a hillside, the average age of the vines is about 25 years. This vineyard is planted mostly with Merlot with a small amount of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Tasting Note: Well developed on the nose with red fresh fruit, mouth filling with elegant delicate tannins.
Food match: A versatile wine which could be paired with red meat, poultry or cheese.
