2016 Chateau Carlmagnus Fronsac

A standout Right Bank Bordeaux from the Fronsac appellation, the 2016 Château Carlmagnus is a Merlot-dominant blend (90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc) that showcases the richness and power of the exceptional 2016 Bordeaux vintage. The estate, founded by Arnaud Roux-Oulié in 1998, has become one of Fronsac's leading producers. 

Tasting Notes
Deep garnet in colour, with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, plum, cedar and sweet spice. The palate is rich and concentrated, combining ripe dark fruit with velvety tannins, notes of tobacco, vanilla and a touch of leather. Fresh acidity keeps the wine balanced, leading to a long, polished finish.
