I am really excited about this intriguing wine from the guys at First Drop wines. They source fruit from distinctive vineyard sites in Australia and in this case have found some rare Nebbiolo and Barbera, two Piedmontese grape varieties that marry perfectly. The fruit and acidity of the latter with the savoury character and structure of the former. The cherry spice and dark chocolate of the Barbera works perfectly with the elegant leathery structure of the Nebbiolo.
Fruit laden and structured - fun, yet serious!

This wine has an elegant, bright lemon-yellow colour to it. It has pronounced aromas of green apples and tropical pineapples. On the palate these all come through combined perfectly with just enough acidity to help the flavours linger on the palate for that little bit longer.
