Wines on Tasting in West Road 28.05.16

I have some treasures to taste this weekend. My offerings for the Bank Holiday are good enough reason to stay at home and not get stuck in the holiday traffic.  Walk down to the shop and taste these wines at your leisure. 

2014 Chateau Coupe Roses Minervois Blanc £13.99 per bottle £70 for 6 or £120 for 12 
I love this part of the world, as well as its wines.  Better known for its reds the whites are often overlooked.  Not here at The Vineking though.  Focus here is on the delicate blend of Roussanne and Marsanne with a little barrel ferment to give extra texture and roundness to the wine.  White blossom and quince come to mind on the nose and the palate.  A real pleasure.

2015 Pure Mirabeau Cotes De Provence £12.99 per bottle 6 for £66 or £120 for 12 
Following the success of this wine last year we just had to do it again this year.  Bottled sunshine.

2014 Les Amis de la Bouissiere Vin de France £13.99 per bottle £70 for 6 or £120 for 12 
This really is special.  A funky blend of Grenach, Syrah and Merlot from one of the best Gigondas producers.  A wine that blends the serious depth of fruit to be found in the Rhone with some freshness and smooth tannins to boot.  Class in a glass.
