In East Molesey this weekend we also have two of the Spanish Bin End parcel on tasting;
2002 Neo Ribera del Duero
£19.99p/b or £15 in a mixed Spanish Bin End
Exhibits a rich bouquet of new leather, black currants, cherries, and toasty oak. It is medium-bodied, with excellent density, sweet integration of tannin and acidity, and a long, opulent finish.
90 points Wine Advocate
2004 S’Alou Emporda
£19.99p/b or £15 in a mixed Spanish Bin End
Red garnet colour with aromatic notes of blackberry jam, dried thyme, toasted bread, dates, cinnamon and quince on a slightly balsamic base. On the palate, there is a delicate minerality, where there are nuances of candied fruit, caramel, pistachio and coffee beans. Balanced and sturdy, but silky and providing a significantly prolonged persistence.
