Wines on Tasting in Church Street 07.10.16

We're so excited to introduce our new gin of the month!

Caspyn Cornish Dry
I came across Shaun's gin from a friend who offered me a taste, and I knew immediately that I wanted it on our shelves. With it's crisp and fresh floral style led by hibiscus flowers, green tea, bergamot with a lengthy citrus peel finish it evokes the bracing cornish countryside perfectly. Then there is the gorgeous sherbety finish that comes from the local gorse which makes is stand out from so many of the other artisan distillers springing up.

It's only produced in 250 bottle batches and we're very lucky to be one of the first bricks and mortar retailers with it on our shelves. Pop in for a taste and to hear more about the story of this delicious new drop.

And don't worry! If you're not a gin fan we also have two gorgeous wine's open. 2011 Lopez De Haro Riserva, full of ripe dark fruit and balsamic richness, a hint of vanilla and sweet tannin to continue our rioja festivities, and then so the new world doesn't feel left out we thought we'd crack open the stunning Kaesler Cabernet Sauvignon. An elegant yet earthy Cabernet with a hint of Petit Verdot in the blend to add a depth and spice.
