2013 Mas de la Rime Coteaux du Languedoc I am a huge fan of the wines of Mas de la Rime due to the owners sense of no compromise when producing their wines. All organic and biodynamic production in their garrigue surrounded vineyards just to the west of Montpellier. Fermented in barrique, the wine is then removed after 4 months, ensuring no over-dominance of wood. Long, and wonderfully seductive with rich, pure fruit and a lovely touch of minerality, this has the weight of a serious white burgundy but the Rousanne gives it a unique touch of quince, white flowers, light spice tones and the finish is sublime. £16.99 per bottle and 6 fr £75
