La Masia means "The Farmhouse" in Catalonia, Marimar Torres’ home region, and our winery is designed to resemble a classic Catalan farmhouse. Named after the late patriarch of the Torres family, this sustainable vineyard is located in the Green Valley — the coolest, foggiest region of the Russian River Valley, only ten miles from the Pacific. Planted in the European-style high density of over 2,000 vines/acre, the yields are low and labour is intensive; but the
Bright ruby red in colour with excellent clarity and elegance. The nose is complex and expressive, offering aromas of black cherry, raspberry and ripe plum layered with notes of orange peel, rose petal, woodland herbs, clove and subtle spice.
The palate is rich yet refined, delivering vibrant flavours of dark berries, black plum and tart cherry, supported by savoury undertones, gentle oak spice and hints of mocha. Silky tannins and fresh acidity provide balance and structure, leading to a long, persistent finish with impressive depth and finesse.
Produced from 100% Pinot Noir grown in the cool-climate Don Miguel Vineyard in California's Russian River Valley, this wine showcases the elegance and complexity for which the region is renowned. The vineyard's proximity to the Pacific Ocean contributes freshness, concentration and remarkable ageing potential.
