Deep garnet red in colour with impressive concentration. The nose is rich and expressive, offering aromas of black cherry, dried plum, blackberry compote and raisin, layered with notes of dark chocolate, sweet spice, tobacco, mocha and a hint of balsamic herbs.

On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with ripe dark fruit flavours balanced by fresh acidity and polished tannins. Nuances of cocoa, liquorice, cedar and baking spices develop through the mid-palate, leading to a long, warming and complex finish.

A powerful yet elegant Amarone that showcases both richness and finesse, making it an excellent partner for slow-braised beef, venison, mature hard cheeses or simply enjoyed on its own after dinner.

Tedeschi is one of the historic names of Valpolicella, with the family's involvement in winemaking dating back to 1630. The estate is based in Pedemonte di Valpolicella, just north-west of Verona, and has become internationally recognised for producing some of the region's finest Amarone wines. 

The winery remains family-owned and operated, currently run by Antonietta, Sabrina and Riccardo Tedeschi, who continue the work of previous generations while focusing on vineyard research, sustainability and expressing the unique characteristics of Valpolicella's terroir. 

Tedeschi's reputation was significantly enhanced when Lorenzo Tedeschi released the first Capitel Monte Olmi Amarone in 1964, one of the pioneering single-vineyard Amarones that helped demonstrate the importance of specific vineyard sites in the region.
