The 2017 Spioenkop Riesling is one of the estate’s signature wines, praised by Tim Atkin as consistently the best Riesling in South Africa.
Tasting note: Made in a dry Alsace style, it offers aromatic notes of grapefruit, lime, peach, and ginger, with a touch of kerosene for complexity. The palate is dense and vibrant, with punchy acidity and a very dry, crisp finish.
Food Match: Excellent with shellfish, grilled fish, fish terrines, salads with olives, duck, or pork.
