2010 Quinta do Carvalhao Torto

A wonderfully mature Red wine from Dao. A blend of Jaen (Mencia) and Alfrocheiro, without the influence of oak, this has the richness of age, but is still full of blueberry fruit and finely sculpted tannins. We don't have many so bag this before it goes.It was made with temperature control, and draws out maceration, unoaked, subjected to a prolonged stage.

Tasting Notes: Ruby colour, complex and delicate aroma with strong typicality. In the mouth, a smooth and velvety flavour with fine tannin.

Food Match: With roasted or grilled meats or hard cheeses.
