This is a wine region that’s traditionally closely linked with red wine – so much so that the distinctive hue of its traditional wines spawned the name of a recognisable shade of deep red colour. In fact, it’s not all about the reds here – Burgundy also produces some truly excellent white wines (it does encompass the Chablis region, after all…)
As the home of some of the world’s most expensive wines, Burgundy has a reputation for high prices, but there’s some great value to be found too.
