2024 Bojador Tinto Altentejo

Espaço Rural is the personal project of Pedro Ribeiro and his wife, Catarine Vieira. They were both winemakers in other Portuguese regions before deciding to move to Vidigueira in the Alentejo. Their goal is to produce wines that are true to the historical traditions of the land. They adopt methods such as low yields, careful pruning and early harvesting in addition to organic farming methods in the vineyard. The resulting wines are mineral, fresh, elegant and, above all, authentic.

A blend of Aragonez, Touriga Nacional and Trincadeira. Crafted from a selection of old vines from Vidigueira, showcasing the terroir of Alentejo. Machine-harvested grapes were selected in a sorting table, destemmed, and gently crushed. Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. It was then matured for six months in French oak barrels. This is a well-balanced wine with great purity of raspberry and cherry fruit and a touch of spice. Juicy, elegant and refreshing with soft tannins and well-balanced acidity.
