2022 Pax Aut Bellum Parkling £32.99

A new bubbly from Iona, this is an all-Pinot Noir Blanc de Noirs made with the help of
consultant Pierre de Klerk. Showing some attractive, autolysis-derived aromas of toast and
malt, it has appealing aniseed and wild strawberry flavours and a racy, tangy, acid-driven

2025 Elgin Highlands Sauvignon Blanc £20.99

Much more than your run-of-the-mill Sauvignon Blanc, this is a blend with 8% Semillon that benefitted from a touch of barrel fermentation. Herbal, flinty and appealingly complex for a wine that’s widely available, this marries flavours of greengage, lime and passion fruit with plenty of sappy, palate-cleansing acidity and a hint of vanilla spice. 2026-29 92pts Tim Atkin MW

2023 Elgin Highlands Chardonnay £34.99

Werner Muller has a very sure touch with Chardonnay, making some of the best examples of the variety in Elgin. This one uses grapes from four vineyards on the farm. Wild fermented in 20% new wood, with the same amount of malolactic, it' a pithy cool climate style, with a struck match top note, lemongrass and citrus flavours and a mouth-watering finish. 2025-31 93pts Tim Atkin MW

2024 Kroon Single Vineyard Pinot Noir £44.99

Kroon is planted with the 115 and 777 clones on iron-rich red clay soils at Iona and often has a slightly ferrous undertone. Notes of earth and beetroot are complemented by red cherry and wild strawberry fruit, stylish 25% new French oak, textured tannins and a waft of tomato leaf. 2022 Wines of Brocha Solace £38.99

There was no Solace produced in 2023, so if you like cool climate Elgin Syrah, purchase this
example now. Aged in 10% new wood, it's a savoury, slightly ferrous expression of the variety, with a white pepper, plum and red cherry palate, hints of earth and tobacco leaf and a spicy finish. Up a point since last year. 2025-31 92pts Tim Atkin MW
