2024 Nine Peaks Pinkker Rose

In 2008, Dr.Karl-Heinz Hauptmann from Germany founded Chateau Nine Peaks Winery, in
Qingdao, with a total area of 150 hectares, of which about 90 hectares of vines are planted. The winery is located at the foot of the Nine Peaks Mountains in Laixi, hence the name.
At present, it mainly grows the grape varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc,
Cabernet Gernischt, Marselan, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Syrah, Alibernet, Chardonnay and Petit
Manseng.  
Chateau Nine Peaks is not only popular among Chinese consumers, but also exported to
France, Britain, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Japan and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.  
The critically acclaimed Provence style this rosé is an award winner it scored 91/100 points in James Suckling’s Chinese wine Awards, a gold medal in France’s international wine report, and a gold award in the Asia Wine and Spirits Awards by sommeliers.
From sand and gravel soil of Tsing Tao, this dry rosé is made with 68% Petit Verdot, 17% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Marselan. Grapes are harvested and sorted twice only by hand, with direct pressing of the grapes and fermentation in small sized steel vats at 14 to 16
degrees C. 
Tasting Note: a bright salmon rose with aromas of ripe peach, fresh pear and a hint of
cream. The palate is energised by bright acidity revealing notes of grapefruit and citrus
complemented by a subtle herbal nuance. It is beautifully structured with a long and
persistent finish.
Food match:   Braised Spicy Fish—Sichuan Style – Rosé in general works well with the
spiciness of Sichuan cooking.
