Boutique winery Hans Herzog was established in 1998, with a commitment to organic and eco-friendly winemaking practices. This award-winning family-run winery in the heart of the Marlborough region is certified organic by BioGro New Zealand and managed with biodynamic principles.

These approaches are of great importance to the family, helping them to make the most of the vineyard’s terroir – a cool maritime climate married with gravelly alluvial soils that encourage grapes with complex and intense flavours.

Marlborough is, of course, best known for its sauvignon blanc production, and Herzog is no exception, producing excellent sauvignons alongside other varieties including pinot gris, pinot noir and Montepulciano.

As well as the winemaking business, the estate is also home to guest accommodation and a restaurant that pairs their wines with a menu featuring top-quality locally sourced produce.
