This is a good example of the quality of wines now being made in this once overlooked corner of Europe. Cramele Recas produces one of our bestselling reds, the delicious Calusari Pinot Noir. Owned by Englishman, Philip Cox and his Romanian wife Elvira, have put in a huge amount of work into transforming their slice of grape growing history into a contemporary winemaking haven.

This Merlot is another hit from this producer. Aromas of dark fruits, plum and blackberry with hints of spice and vanilla. Medium-bodied on the palate packed full of jammy fruit flavours and a finish of chocolate with warming tannins.
