Germany

Pinot Noir German Wine

Back in the 1980s it was easy-drinking liebfraumilch all the way for the majority of UK wine drinkers – with the low-quality exported wine possibly tarring the country’s reputation for a generation into the bargain.

Of course, the Germans themselves rarely drank liebfraumilch (which was mostly exported), preferring the crisp, refreshing rieslings that have found their way over here more recently. You’ll find several excellent versions in the Vineking range of German wines, alongside some deliciously fruity reds.
