2020 Tenuta Del Melo Barbera

Tenuta del Melo can be found in the heart of Gavi’s hills. It is owned by the Rossi Cairo family who have promoted sustainable agriculture in the region for many years. Today Tenuta del Melo is certfied Biodynamic by Demeter. The estate itself covers 20 hectares planted with both Cortese and Barbera vines planted on marl soils.

We have been shipping the Gavi for several years and only tasted the Barbera back in March and we had to ship some over. It's simply delicious, with juicy dark fruit, supple tannins and a real sense of vibrancy.
