----------------------------------------
Located in the Mount Barker township, Plantagenet was the first winery in the Great Southern region. Vines were first planted in the late 1960s with the first vintage in 1974. The Plantagenet wines remain some of Western Australia’s most classically elegant wines. The proximity of their vineyards to the cool Southern Ocean ensures slow ripening, which in turn enhances the aromatic qualities of the grapes.
Intensely aromatic on the nose with vibrant notes of lemon blossom, lime, jasmine and rose. A racy acidity and stony minerality add drive and freshness to the palate alongside lime zest and lemon curd notes. A fine crisp, dry finish.
