NV Greyfriars Vineyard Cuvee

Greyfriars Vineyard is located on the sunny south facing chalk slopes of the Hog’s Back at Puttenham, just outside Guildford in Surrey. They produce a range of spectacular English Sparkling and Still Wines reflecting the unique local soil conditions, climate and heritage of the Surrey North Downs. Their vineyards are predominantly planted with the three classic Champagne varieties; Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. However, they also have small plots of Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Blanc.

Blending together the three traditional "Champagne" varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, from 2014, 2015 and 2016 vintages, Greyfriars Vineyard NV Sparkling Cuvée was left to age in bottle for two years on its lees. The wine is fresh and fruity. It's soft and dry with intense lemon, apple and mineral flavours. The crisp finish makes it a perfect aperitif and equally a great wine pairing with light fish dishes or any type of seafood.
