2021 Calappiano Chianti DOCG

Fattoria Calappiano, in Vinci, the territory of Montalbano represents a historical and architectural treasure of the De’Medici family of Florence. Built around 1500, it was commissioned by the Grand Duke Francesco I De’Medici and was one of the first examples of a Tuscan Farmhouse featuring wine-growing operations. Sweet, luscious sangiovese fruit has a nice bite of acidity to keep it balanced and is a dire threat to anything with a tomato.
