2023 Las Veletas Estate Carmenere

Las Veletas is an old property located on the dry area of San Javier in the south west end of Maule Valley, Chile. All this work, driven by the owner Raúl Dell’Oro, who after several years working the land went into partnership with the renowned enologist Rafael Tirado in order to develop the winery project Las Veletas.

The grapes are located on plots on the hills on granitic, clay-loam with depth. Post harvest in mid April the wine is matured in 2nd or 3rd use oak barrels.

Tasting note: Violet and red in colour with aromas of cocoa, paprika and blackberries leading to a juicy mouthfeel with silky tannins note blueberry notes.

Food match: Red meats or hard mature cheeses.
