2020 Vergelegen Reserve Shiraz

The 100% Shiraz grapes were all selected from Vergelegen’s Rooiland vineyards, planted on the north to north-westerly slopes. Different soil types, predominantly Glenrosa and Clovelly soils. Grapes are hand-picked and fermented in
stainless steel tanks After fermentation, the wine was transferred into 25% new French oak barrels for 16 months.

Tasting note: Aromas of cinnamon and spice with a soft floral character and plummy aromas. The palate is juicy and balanced with mulberry and crushed pepper. Finishes elegantly.

Food match: Enjoy with spicy dishes like mild curries, or well seasoned meats.
