On the face of it, this looks like a peculiar mismatch. Germany is renown for it's Rieslings and sweeter styles of wines but with the increasing temperatures and more planting of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon in Germany, we are seeing some very interesting dry wines emerge.
New Zealand is seen as being a little in the doldrums, but surely there is much more to come from this fantastic country than just ubiquitous Sauvignon Blanc....?
10 years ago, when we first ran this tasting Germany were the surprise winners, so the question is, how have these two countries progressed since then?
Starting at 7.30pm running till 9.30
The Tasting Rooms 38 Church Street, Reigate RH2 0AN, 01737 244823
