The Gremillet estate was founded by Jean-Michel Gremillet in 1979 when he inherited a plot of vines from his mother, Lulu. Today, the house possesses over 40 hectares of vineyards and is situated in a small village 45 kilometres from Troyes - the historic capital of Champagne - and 180 kilometres south of Reims.
A blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the Gremillet Brut Champagne is bright and refreshing. Delicate floral notes combined with flavours of peach and pear, and hints of spice and toast.
Perfect for an aperitif!
When Jean-Michel Gremillet established his Champagne house in 1979, his ambition was to conquer the export market and become a supplier for the diplomatic market.
It took a lot of hard work, but the dream became a reality: Gremillet is now the drink of choice for prestigious receptions......
I recently held my 50th birthday party at The Vine King in Weybridge and this champagne was recommended to me for the evening by Erik. Its light and dry and very drinkable! My friends have since all asked me for the details.
